Resourcing Local Services 2020-21 – All our communities rely on local government.pdf – Sep-2019

All our communities rely on essential local services. From schools to bin collections, social care to transport, housing to leisure services, they are the bedrock of all our day-to-day lives. But local government has lost over £1bn since the onset of austerity a decade ago, making it ever harder every year to continue to provide over 700 cherished council-run local services. By working with Welsh Government to secure a fair funding settlement for local government, vital local services would be better placed to contribute so much more to the wellbeing of our communities.
