Following tributes to the late Councillor Phil White from Bridgend County Borough Council, Councillor Andrew Morgan, WLGA Leader said,

“We wish to pay tribute to the significant contribution Cllr Phil White made as a local councillor to public services and local government in Wales.  Phil was a long-time supporter of the WLGA’s work and we will miss his contribution to our discussions, as well as his warm smile and good humour.  He was always an advocate for local communities, with a passion for social services and he will be missed.  We wish to give our condolences to his family and friends for his loss.”

Councillor Huw David, Leader of Bridgend and WLGA Presiding Officer said, “The many tributes that have been paid to Phil reflect the importance and impact he made on people.  We always valued his views and input into discussions at the WLGA and I know he will be missed by people all across Wales. Our thoughts are with his family at this very difficult time.”
